Weeks after the eruption of Mt. We The People, the aftershocks and fallout from the Massachusetts election continue. In the halls of the capitol, Chicken Little is running wildly about, flapping his or her stubby wings and shrieking wildly, "The paradigm has shifted, the paradigm has shifted". Democrats, who haven't been seen in weeks are starting to crawl out from under their desks and the Pink RINO's are trying to bulk up and grow back their trunks. The cowardly rat bastards are all squealing like rats in a trap because they understand what happens when the pendulum has reached its peak and has started the swing back toward the center. Their comfortable ship of state is taking on water too fast for the pumps and the spin doctors to handle.

Berry Hussein Hopenchange, ever the true ideologue, vows to stay the course. Like his predecessor, George Dubbie, he seems oblivious to the handwriting on the wall, "you have been judged by the people you serve and you have come up short." He seems bound and determined to dash the rudderless ship of state on the rocks. Perhaps he has no choice. His handlers, Worm Tongue and Screwtape are constantly in his ear and I seriously doubt if he has ever had an original thought in his life. Much of America are starting to see through the smoke and mirrors and see the Emperor is buck necked, like the day he was born.

If the Obimmunist had the sense God gave a goose he might get on the phone to Slick Willie and ask him how he salvaged his floundering presidency. In spite of his many flaws and defects of character, Clinton was a slick politician. When his army of focus groups said that he was too far to the left for We the People he moderated his position and moved back to the center and was able to torment and entertain us for four more years.

Be Afraid, Be Very, Very Afraid!

In 1997, Clinton named Eric Holder Jr. to be the Deputy Attorney General under Janet "Waco" Reno. Holder was involved with Clinton's last-minute pardons of convicted fugitives, felons and terrorists. In the last few hours of his presidency, with Holder tugging at his coat sleeve, Bill Clinton pardoned 16 members of the Boricua Popular Army, an organization that had been classified by the FBI as a terrorist organization. Holder urged Clinton to grant clemency in face of objection by the U.S. Pardons Attorney. Holder was also involved with Clinton's last-minute pardon of fugitive and Democratic contributor Marc Rich. The pardon of Rich was actually a favor from Clinton to members of the Israeli government, for which he hoped to gain progress in the peace talks with Palestine.

"Like most of Obama's appointees, Holder is firmly rooted in a Socialist background. He is a member of the American Constitution Society, a ACLU-type group dedicated to destroying much of the Constitution in order to make it "relevant" to the modern world. As with many of Obama's appointees, he is obsessed with race, even to the point of refusing to pursue the prosecution of two Black Panther thugs who intimidated white voters at a polling place. The thugs were screaming things at the voters such as, "You are about to be ruled by the black man, cracker." If whites had harassed blacks at a polling place, they would still be setting in jail. Holder has no problem undermining the democratic process.

"Holder is currently challenging the rights of states to enact citizen verification procedures previously approved by two federal courts. He wants to make it easier for illegal aliens to vote, which also happens to be ACORN's goal. This comes as no surprise; Holder has been undermining the rule of law for most of his career. While serving as the #2 official in Clinton’s Justice Department, Holder was the driving force behind the effort to pardon members of the notorious Puerto Rican terrorist group, FALN, a group that engaged in over 130 attacks in the USA, killing six people. By refusing to carry out justice against the Black Panthers and the Hispanic FALN terrorists, he was clearly pandering to these two racial groups for political reasons. So this is what Obama’s Justice Department will be all about: racial pandering first and justice last. As the Attorney General, Eric Holder is the top law enforcement officer of the United States. In this position he wields enormous power and influence. He was Obama's chief political advisor during his campaign for the presidency. At the insistence of the White House, it was Holder that ordered that the government would prosecute Khalid Shaikh Mohammed,the self-proclaimed architect, of the 9/11 attacks in a civilian court. The terrorist mastermind and four others will be tried as civilian criminals in civilian court. For their heinous crimes against the people of the United States, Holder, being true to form, wants to grant them every advantage of our twisted Justice system and afford them a forum for their propaganda.

Just last year in a brief to the Supreme Court, Attorney General Holder argued that “the Second Amendment did not protect an individual right to keep and bear arms,” that it only protected government militias’ rights to guns. He claimed that the Second Amendment posed no obstacle to implementing gun bans.

On every gun control regulation he has discussed, he has been supportive, including: bans, raising the age that someone can possess a gun, registration and licensing, one-gun-a-month limit on purchases, and mandatory waiting periods.

While Holder served in the Clinton Justice Department, he oversaw the background check system, but he has never been asked to explain why the system broke down so consistently while he ran it. The instant background check system was in constant disarray, often resulting in days of unnecessary delays. When he left that position, the problems were instantly fixed.

Eric Holder Jr. is the one of Berry Hussein's hommies and one of his chief advisors. He has made a career of attacking the Constitution, the document he has sworn to protect and none dare to call it treason. He has consistently defended the sworn enemies of the United States and he holds the office of the Attorney General, the head of the Justice Department and the Top Cop of the land. How in the name of reason, did he ever get confirmed by our elected representatives in Washington? And why isn't he awaiting trial in Gitmo?

It appears that our Justice Department as well as most of the Federal Government has become dysfunctional. The Constitution has been systematically fed into the shredder and the tenth amendment is the last line of defense. Our government is no longer bound by the Constitution, the only thing that keeps our masters from doing anything they want, is their fear of WE the PEOPLE.

The Sorry State of the Union Address

Article II, Section 3 of the U. S. Constitution says; "He shall from time to time give to Congress information of the State of the Union and recommend to their Consideration such measures as he shall judge necessary and expedient."

The Constitution doesn't require an annual State of the Union address but it has become an honored tradition followed by most all of the presidents since Woodrow Wilson. Thank goodness it doesn't require We the People to watch it. It is vital that we stay informed but within a few minutes the transcript will be available and by morning the blogosphere will be overflowing with translations and opinions.

I won't be watching tonight. To quote the great poet, Dylan; "You don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows". Unless you have been in a coma for the last decade, you should have some idea of the State of the Union and unless you are still drinking the Libtard's toxic Kool-Aid, you already know that BHO is a prevaricator of the first order. I won't be able to watch because the idea of seeing Uncle Fester Biden and Blinky, the Botox Queen popping up and applauding wildly before each standing ovation will be more than my lower GI can stand.

Tonight, If you feel that you must watch the acting presidents Sorry State of the Union Address, please dress accordingly. Just imagine that you have front and center tickets to a Gallagher concert. Raincoats and plastic tarps may not be enough to protect you from the spray of bovine residue that the One will be spewing tonight. Just watch his behavior.

On the other hand, tonight might be an excellent opportunity to start a savings account. Instead of the old drinking game where you down a shot each time BHO says "I" or "Me" or blames George Bush, just make a mark and when he is done tally up and for each mark put a dollar in a savings account. Instead of getting commode hugging drunk listening to the spiel of lies, you might be able to set aside a pretty good nest egg.

I can't stand to watch that Post Turtle*. He will be like a bobble head watching a ping pong game, with his head swing back and forth between the prompters. Obama's reliance on the prompters probably explain the halting choppy rhythm to his speech. We were led to believe that he was a great silver tongued orator and now we know that he is just a very expensive ventriloquists dummy.

* Post Turtle; You know he didn't get up there by himself, ... He doesn't belong there, ... and he doesn't know what to do while he is up there. And what in the world was the fool that put him there in the first place thinking?

Liberals Gnaw Off A Foot

Well of course we are a little peeved at the acting President. He is the most inept and ill-qualified person to hold that high office in modern times. In one year Berry Husain Obama has managed to weaken our defense against a sworn enemy, tripled the national debt, to humiliate and disgrace the office of the president by his "step-n-fetch it" routine of bowing and scraping to every despot in sight. He seems to find great pleasure in holding the hands of every socialist leader that will grant him an audience.

Understandably, the conservatives are angry and highly critical of Obama. Recently, a new development has set in: the leftwing disgust with their "Messiah" and his failure to address or deliver on many campaign promises that were near and dear to the socialists. A really funny critique of Obama comes from David Michael Green, professor of political science at Hofsra University in New York. (CommonDreams.Org)

Before it's too late, and we all get blisters on our feet! Similarly, Mr. Obama, your spending the last year on (jive) health care and jetting around the world dipping your toes into foreign policy problems while Americans are losing their jobs and their houses is a fine way to kill your presidency. Guaranteed to work every time."

After the Massachusetts meltdown Obama jets to unemployment ravaged Ohio to encourage them to "invest in Green Technologies". I guess he wants them to build some really amazing storm windows so they can starve in comfort. Headlines read: Obama vows to fight on. In his inspiing speech to the people of Ohio, Obama said; ".... "Folks in Washington are in a bit of a frenzy" ... "Now, we've gotten pretty far down the road, but I have to admit, we've run into a bit of a buzz saw". Obama just doesn't seem to get it.

Professor goes on to say:
"Barack Obama has now, in just a year's time, become the single most inept president perhaps in all of American history, and certainly in my lifetime. Never has so much political advantage been pissed away so rapidly, and what's more in the context of so much national urgency and crisis. It's astonishing, really, to contemplate how much has been lost in a single year. "

Mr. Green doesn't seem to be angry at Obama for his failed policies or his socialist ideology, only that he, Professor Green, is disappointed at the bungling Obama's inability to deliver. Okay, now that we know the source of Green's angst, let's read on:

"...he doesn't really "charge" at anything. He just talks about things, thinks about things a real long time, defers to others on things, and waits around for things to maybe happen.

"...I have never seen a president so utterly lacking in passion. This man literally doesn't even seem to care about himself, let alone this or that policy issue. He doesn't seem to have any strong opinions on anything, a sure prescription for presidential failure.

"He has therefore let Congress ‘lead' on nearly every issue, another surefire mistake. Instead of demanding that they pass real stimulus legislation - which would have really stimulated the economy, big-time, and right now - he let those dickheads on the Hill just load up a big pork party blivet of a bill with all the pet projects they could find, designed purely to benefit their personal standing with the voters at home, rather than to actually produce jobs for Americans. And on health care, his signature issue, he did the same thing. "You guys write it, and I'll sign the check." Could there possibly be a greater prescription for failure than allowing a bunch of the most venal people on the planet to cobble together a 2,000 page monstrosity that entirely serves their interests and those of the people whose campaign bribes put them in office?

"...if you're trying to run the most failed presidency ever, a really good idea is to campaign in the grandest terms possible, and then deliver squat. You know, talk about bending the arc of history. Invoke Martin Luther King's dream and his struggles and even those of the slaves. Ring the big bells of generational calling. Remind voters every thirty seconds that the country badly needs "Change!". Then get elected and turn around and continue the policies of your hated predecessor in every meaningful policy area. Only with less conviction. People will love that.
I don't give a s--t about Barack Obama anymore, other than my desire that really ugly things happen to him as payment in kind for the grandest act of betrayal we've seen since Benedict Arnold did his thing. But what about the country? "

Keep in mind that this scathing essay was written by a left-wing political science professor. It not only expresses his anger directed at the Chosen One but his frustration that the socialist agenda were in danger of not being implemented. Twelve months ago this very professor was in the cheering section for Berry Husain and now he wants bad things to happen to him. Are these folks really that shallow?

The answer is of course, YES they are! The left leaning socialists libtards are totally without scruples, ethics or morals so down deep they are quite shallow. The great political analysis, J.D.B. once said; "These people have a sound bite ideology and no philosophy." When the harsh light of truth is shined on their fragmentary ideas, they are usually hollow and empty of any real substance, yet they continue to squawk like deranged parrots, repeating their cherished talking points that they have memorized. Just ask them for documentation and supporting rationales and their arguments wilt like a paper sack of jello in July.

Perhaps we should be grateful for our acting president's complete lack of experience in administration and his inept handling of the socialist agenda. Just imagine where we might be now if he were as competent and dynamic as the One that was promised. Thank God that the libtards are all sound and no substance.

"I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore"

There has been so much to write about in the last few days that I thought my head would explode. But I have been too busy reading all the wonderful articles and posts from my sisters and brothers-in-arms have written. With each new article I find more grist for the mill. I thought about listing them but the list has gotten out of hand, there are so many really bright thinkers and the news has been exciting. I have always been easily distracted by shiny things.

I have never actually felt a ground swell before but I am sure that this must be how one feels. I was elated when I watched Lenox Lewis whip Mike Tyson like a rented mule but it didn't feel anything like this. The Scott Brown's victory has had more impact in 48 hours on the climate than the Goracle has had in his entire political life. Senator Brown's campaign battle cry was "We the People" and in his victory speech he said, "This is not a Republican win, this is a win for We the People, Republicans, Democrats and Independents."

From all that I can find out the Massachusetts Miracle came about as a result of Scott Brown campaigning as an American willing to fight for Americans and to oppose those that are treading on our Constitution. He overcame a 30 point defect to beat the Democrat opponent in a landslide victory. The victory was a stunning blow to the entrenched political machine. Martha Coakley was the "anointed" one to take the seat that had been held by the Dems. since 1955. Brown won in large part because of the over one million dollars a day that poured in to his campaign coffers from around the United States. This was largely through the efforts of the Tea Party Movement.

The first time I was able to vote was in the presidential election in 1960, I had just reached the legal age of 21. I voted the way my father voted and we both lost. Since that time, I have always voted for a third party candidate. (See post; "The Farce of the Two Party System") I have supported Third party candidates largely in protest of the "Good Cop, Bad Cop" paradigm, no matter which one you choose, you're busted. I am a libertarian because it is the only organized party that truly represents the views of our founding fathers, the authors of the Constitution.

Lately, I have had to scratch my head and re-evaluate my position on building a strong third party. My eldest son and I have had many spirited discussions on this topic with him advocating working within the system and I of course, strongly disagreed. But I can't ignore the effect the Tea Party Movement has had on the Massachusetts Election. They are not even an organized party nor have they fielded a single candidate and yet they have wielded enormous political power by helping to, in effect, derail the runaway train of the Socialist regime.

My initial reaction to the Tea Party Movement's demonstration of power was to cheer along with the rest. I reacted to their success by wishing that they would actually form a third party and pick some candidates and march on Washington and throw the bums out. Take a deep breath. I'm okay now. I wish to be response-able rather than reaction-ary.

This morning I read about the first big Tea Party Convention to be held in Nashville, TN. For a mere $500, plus travel and lodging, you too can be a part of this grass root movement. What are these people smoking? That's not grass roots, it's fast cats looking to cash in on a good thing. The very thing that has made the Tea Party Movement a success is that it was We the People and we were sick and tired of the terrible job that our elected representatives in Washington were doing. They were not protesting as Democrats or Republicans but as We the People. My fear is that if they become a third party, they will become the thing that we oppose.

I truly believe that the Tea Party Movement has enormous power and potential if we remember that ideas and ideals are more powerful that institutions and governments. I believe that the Massachusetts election demonstrates a good working model to be implemented in elections around the country. Not by fielding third party candidates but by supporting only candidates that have sworn to truly uphold the constitution, regardless of their party affiliation.

This is especially exciting because of all of the upcoming midterm Congressional elections as well as several key state gubernatorial races. The race for Governor in Texas is a thrilling example of an unknown candidate, Debra Medina is posing a serious challenge to the two very high profile establishment candidates. This year promises to be exciting.

Just imagine the effect that might have on the two parties. It might force them to remember that each and every one of them has sworn an oath to support the Constitution. They would all be put on notice that it is We the People that are who they represent and we expect them to keep their word. It might even cause the Democrat and the Republican Parties to start to clean house.

He Made the World a Better Place, didn't He? Well didn't He?

Today, I reflected on the life and times of Martin Luther King, Jr. Had he not been assassinated I feel certain that our world would have been a much better place to live. I feel sure with his wise leadership and teaching much of the racial tension of the past decades could have been avoided and we would have been enjoying a level of racial equality only dreamed of today.

I remember January 18, 1968 when Dr. King was assassinated and the days following. I was living in Kansas City, Mo. and remember hearing shots being fired in the night, I remember the smell of the smoke from the riots and the boarded windows of looted shops and businesses. I remember the 7:00 PM curfew and the deserted streets being patrolled by National Guardsmen.

I recall the times leading up to his untimely death. The daily news had been filled with news of Dr. King's protest marches, his moving speeches and frequent arrests. He was a key factor in forcing the attention of the world on the racial inequities and the plight of black citizens in the segregated South. Martin Luther King, Jr. advocated the strategies that were used by Gandhi in the Indian fight for independence from England. Both taught the philosophy of nonviolent direct action. These tactics were summarized by King when he said, "The purpose of nonviolent direct action is to create a situation so crisis-packed that it will inevitably open the door to negotiation". He was successful in attracting the media attention to the adverse treatment of black Americans, it brought national force to bear on the issue of segregation and the Civil Rights Act of 1964 was signed into law.

The Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was a fearless fighter for justice, freedom and equality. He preached Goodness, Truth and Beauty from the pulpit. Read his sermons today and feel moved by his powerful message of peoples struggle to be free, from the Children of Israel in Egypt to the oppressed in his day and time. He taught love and compassion. His sermons are filled with the message of nonviolence, personal responsibility and self-reliance.

Today, 42 years later, the message of nonviolence, personal responsibility and self-reliance is all but lost on successive generations of both white and blacks. In the last decade, the forces of evil have all but eliminated any moral teaching from the state schools and the preachers of today are in fear of retribution if they use the bible to address topics that are deemed politically sensitive. School teachers are dismissed without recourse for closing their eyes during the obligatory moment of silence at the start of the school day. I can only wonder at how successful Dr. King would be today, in an environment increasingly hostile to the teachings of moral values. That same line of questioning leads me back to why he was assassinated. We will never know who all was involved with his shooting anymore that we will know who was on the grassy knoll that day in Dallas.
This morning as I was thinking about that day and remembering the anger, pain and frustration in the black community at the loss of Dr. King. I couldn't help but wonder at what would happen if a similar situation were to happen with a black leader today.

I ain't sayin', I'm just sayin' that if it were to happen, here are my thoughts on the best case and the worst case scenarios as I imagine them.
Just suppose the "Birthers" get their wish and the law suit heard in the Federal Court and Barak Husain Obama refuses or is unable to show proof of birth in the United States:

Best Case:
He is charged with numerous crimes and impeachment is imminent. The conservative rabble are overjoyed and celebrate wildly. They renew their attack on the leftist establishment.

Joe Biden, Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi are overjoyed and celebrate wildly, now they have the power and a new scapegoat and renew their attacks their on the conservatives. Unlike Obama, they know how to play the game and it is again business as usual.

Worst case:
Obama is charged with numerous crimes and impeachment looks to be certain and Obama resigns in disgrace. He immediately seeks and is granted political asylum in Yemen and flees the country under cover of darkness. Riots break out in Washington, D.C. and the Army is called out to support the overwhelmed D.C. police. Several police and Army troops are killed in the battle and dozens of Affirmative action unemployed citizens are killed and hundreds are jailed.

Riots and widespread looting break out in every major city and the civil authority is totally overwhelmed in the first 24 hours. Wild fires burn in L.A., New Orleans, Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas, Denver as well as Washington and New York. Martial law is declared for all the U.S. All travel is suspended. The national Guard and the Army are under manned and are only able to maintain road blocks and check points. Neighborhood vigilante groups form to fight the looters. Open warfare and anarchy looks to be unavoidable.

Acting President, Joe Biden, on the advice of his handlers, exercised his executive prerogative and calls on the aid of The United Nations. By the end of the first week, boots on the ground and Blue UN personal carriers and thousands of troops arrive from China, Indonesia, Mexico, Turkey and South Africa. They immediately begin to round up citizens and to establish temporary detainment camps. Once the curfews are enforced and some semblance of order is restored, the combined forces of the existing police, military, and the United Nation troops begin house to house searches to enforce the new "No Weapons Left Behind Law". All firearms, ammunition and anything that is believed to be a weapon is confiscated and arrests are made.

Wall Street reacts too late to the unstable conditions in the leadership of the country, attempt to stop the total collapse of the market are unsuccessful. Stock values plummet to all time lows. Within days the entire country will experience outages of all major commodities and well as all paper products. China, India and the other countries that hold outstanding debts with the United States, calls for immediate payment in hard currency.

Ok, enough of Apocalypse Now. When I was a little tadpole, I stuck my nose into someone else's business and as a consequence for my indiscretion I was required to write a Bible verse numerous times. It went, "He that passeth by and meddeleth in strife belonging not to him, is like one that taketh a dog by the ears" (Pr. 26:17 KJV) Perhaps we ought to leave sleeping dogs lay and do as Dr. King taught when he quoted the words of Jesus; "Pray for them that despitefully used you and persecute you". (Ma 5: 43-44)

Thank goodness the Lord never said that we should like them! We must wish the best for our enemies. Whether we mean it or not, we must at least try. The result will be that it will dissipate our own anger and at least we will feel better, I works, I promise. If it doesn't work, I will cheerfully refund you your misery.

After thoughts:
Several times in the last few years I have driven the route that the freedom marchers took from Selma, AL. to Montgomery, AL. One of the first things one notices about Selma today, aside from the horrible threadbare poverty stricken look of so many southern towns, is the abundance of government projects - the same stamped out government housing projects that have been total failures in cities everywhere. Dirt yards piled with litter and parking lots full of broken cars. The main street of Selma is a collection of Wig Emporiums, Sculptured nail and Beauty shops and liqueur stores. Each time that I have driven through Selma, the street corners have always been filled with idle young men in designer jeans and throw back jerseys and designer workout suits. But not a blue collar in sight.

How has welfare helped them, tell me that. Instead of opportunity, they have been given an instant slum to live in and free money to spend. The fighters for freedom have been victim of a more insidious form of slavery - the government check. I didn't see them in the early 60's but they don't look any better off today. Only now they are demoralized, uneducated and angry. Looks like a great place for a mosque and a Moslem school. I am quite sure this was not part of Dr. Kings dream.

#14: The Farce of the Two Party System.

Years ago I lived in a small town in north west Arkansas and became acquainted with the former investigative reporter from Chicago, George Murray. He had written the book, "The Legacy of Al Capone". As you might expect it had some interesting stories about the life and crimes of "Scarface". But the real story was how Capone had institutionalized corruption and graft into our everyday political life. Corrupt politicians have always been with us, but it was Alphonse Capone who took it to the level of a public institution.

Mr. Murray states in his book that there are only two kinds of public servants, The Crook and The Square. We don't have much trouble identifying the crooks, they are the sleazy creeps that will sell a political favor and look the other way if the price is right. The crooks wear nice clothes, drive big cars and eat high on the hog. But what about the Squares? They are good well meaning folks that want to get into public office to help make a change. They have high moral ideals and lofty goals. They genuinely want to make the world a better place to live and raise a family. The Squares enter their new positions full of enthusiasm and run head first into a stone wall of corruption, graft and greed. They are forced to deal with a evil machine and after a short time they become beat down, disillusioned and toughly defeated. They serve out their term in quiet frustration or they look at all the money lying on the table and sell out. They become crooks and find ways to justify their choices by convincing themselves that that is just the way the game is played.

We are ruled by two very powerful and thoroughly corrupt gangs of thugs. The Democratic Party and the Republican Party. Neither one of them now have the faintest resemblance to the political parties of our fathers. Over the last twenty or so years the forces of evil have infiltrated both parties to the point that they conspire together to enslave the people they are sworn to protect. We have elected what we believed were the best people for the job and once they get to Washington, they drink the polluted waters of the Potomac and become drunk with power and control. They are seduced by the life style of the aristocrat and have become addicted to the narcissistic belief in their own importance.

I realize that I am painting with a broad brush. I do not mean to imply that there are not a few dedicated public servants. They are genuine American heroes who are working tirelessly to protect we the people and our Constitution from the evil doers who also work tirelessly to enslave and control. If you have such a representative, give thanks to God and write them to say thanks for watching out for you. (A link is provided for your convenience at the right).

The two party system is dead. It is grave yard dead and has been for decades. In 1992 Ross Perot was the first third party candidate to join in public presidential debates. He received 19.7% of the popular vote making him the most successful third-party candidate since Theodore Roosevelt in the 1912 election. This near miss was too close for comfort and caused the two ruling parties to tighten their grip on the election process. Since then, no third party presidential candidate has been allowed to debate with the two major parties. At the first sign of a serious threat in the form of a candidate that is speaking out against their corrupt agenda or worse yet, insisting that the liberties guaranteed by the constitution be respected, both parties, with the aid of their ally, the elite media, launch a propaganda war on the would be candidate. Neither party has any scruples or ethics in these attacks as long as it belittles, ridicules and marginalizes the Independent candidate.

The control of the presidential debates has been a battle ground for more than two decades. The role was previously filled by the nonpartisan civic organization, the League of Women Voters. In 1988 the LWV withdrew from debate sponsorship, in protest of a major party candidates attempting to dictate nearly every aspect of the debate process. The LWV's 14 trustees voted unanimously to pull out of the debates and issued the following press release:

"The League of Women Voters is withdrawing sponsorship of the presidential debates .. because the demands of the two campaign organizations would perpetrate a fraud on the American voter. It has become clear to us that the candidates' organizations aim to add debates to their list of campaign-trail charades devoid of substance, spontaneity and answers to tough questions. The League has no intention of becoming an accessory to the hoodwinking of the American public."

That same year the two major political parties assumed control of organizing the presidential debates through the newly formed Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD). The commission has been headed since its inception by former chairs of the Democratic National Committee and the Republican National Committee. In spite of much criticism over the exclusion of third party and independent candidates and the insistence that the control of the debates be returned to an independent nonpartisan body, the CPD still retains its control. And you thought we had an open and free elections. That couldn't happen here, could it? Want to buy a bridge?

The leftist elite media loves to whip us into a frenzy from time to time with all sorts of election scandal and party propaganda. By the time the election rolls around we are so saturated with phone calls, letters and endless political ads and commercials that we are looking forward to the end of it all. It seems that the only ones of us who are immune to this deluge are the yellow dog voters who will vote just like dad and his dad before him, no matter who the candidate is. Then there are those of us who simply hide in oblivion, pretending that nothing is going on.

The next time you hear someone say, "I vote defensively, I vote for the lesser of two evils", reach over and punch them in the neck, hard. Big deal, you coward. You still voted for evil. Now they will whine and say, "yah, but I didn't throw my vote away". Ask them how they will choose between death by lethal injection or the electric chair? I guess the deadly shot will hurt less than that initial slam of 500K volts to the brain, but you are still stone cold dead. Ask them who they would rather have molest their children, a neighbor or a total stranger. Come on, they should be pretty good at this by now, choosing the lesser of two evils.

When we go to the polls, it is not a horse race where we try to pick the winner. Voting is about choosing with your heart and your conscience. What happened to voting your conscience? What's wrong with supporting a candidate that you believe in your heart of hearts will support the constitution and fight for your liberty? Voting for some sleaze bag because he or she is less of a sleaze bag than the other, how is that not throwing your vote away? Don't ever, ever, let a Democrat or a Republican tell you that you have just thrown your vote away. If you don't vote your heart and your conscience, you have in fact wasted your vote.

Al Capone kept the Chicago politicians happy with bribery and intimidation, but he also keep some order in gangland by cutting up the city between the different gangs. The government of the United States has been cut up and divided between two gangs. They take turns being in charge and share in the plunder. It's Chicago on the Potomac. And we have a South Side Chicago community organizer in charge to prove it.

So what are we to do? Stop accepting the propaganda that tells you that you only have two choices. Look around you. Ask some questions. And above all, do not rely on the main stream media to keep you informed no matter how Fair and Balanced they say they are. Look for alternatives to the two choices that are given to you. Do you know that there are political parties that are working to defend our Constitution? The Libertarian Party is America's Third Largest and fastest growing political party.
