Left-Right Paradigm Is A Hoax

Categories: Archived Columns, Columns
There may have been a time when the words “conservative” and “liberal” meant something, but that time is no more. Today, “conservatives” in government are doing as much to promote Big Government, as are “liberals.” In fact, if one were to honestly evaluate the twelve years of the George Herbert Walker Bush and G.W. Bush administrations, one could say that “conservatives” even eclipse “liberals” in promoting Big Government. Under the two Bushes, the federal government expanded (and even exploded) to levels that for-real liberal Democrats could only dream about.
Let’s get realistic. Just because a politico says he or she is “pro-life,” or “pro-family,” or “pro-marriage,” etc., does not mean that they are going to do anything to help save the country. Come on, folks; think! “Conservative” Republican administration appointments have dominated the US Supreme Court since the infamous Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton decisions that effectively legalized abortion-on-demand. And we are no closer to overturning Roe and Doe after almost forty years of electing “pro-life conservatives” than we were the year after the Roe and Doe decisions were rendered. And for the first six years of the 21st Century, “conservative” Republicans dominated the entire federal government, and still the Roe and Doe decisions stand.
And when it comes to marriage and family, there is not a darn thing that Washington, D.C., can do to “save” it. Washington can no more “save” the family than it can “create” jobs! Washington is not God–the attitudes of most Washington politicians and national newscasters notwithstanding.
Herein lies the real problem: both “conservatives” and “liberals” expect Washington, D.C., to be the panacea for all the nation’s ills. Oh, the left and right come to Washington expecting different solutions, but they both come to Washington, D.C., for the solution. Both “conservatives” and “liberals” expect the federal government to “fix” America. But, in this regard, Ronald Reagan spoke with great profundity when he said, “Government [especially the federal government] is not the solution to our problem; government [especially the federal government] IS the problem!”    Hear President Reagan’s quote
Both “conservatives” and “liberals” look to the federal government to establish and enforce their parochial agendas. “Liberals” look to Washington for the establishment of “social justice,” while “conservatives” look to Washington for the establishment of “military justice.” The net result is the federal government keeps getting bigger and bigger regardless of who controls the White House, Congress, or Supreme Court.
“Conservatives,” whether Christian or not, are just as culpable in the expansion of Big Government as are “liberals.” In fact, when it comes to the expansion of military adventurism, “conservatives” are the most culpable. And when it comes to the ever-burgeoning police state that is currently taking shape in the United States, “liberals” and “conservatives” are equally to blame. Let’s face it: both “conservatives” and “liberals” are in the midst of an intense and illicit love affair with Washington, D.C.
The way many “conservatives” have embraced the candidacy of Rick Santorum is a prime example of how skewed their understanding of historic, constitutional principles really is. Santorum goes around talking about “pro-life” and “pro-family” issues, while his voting record in the US Senate demonstrates that he is just another conservative-talking, big-spending politician. He has voted for so many Big-Government bills and endorsed so many Big-Government toadies that it is incredible that anyone could refrain from laughing out loud when he calls himself a “conservative.”
To check the factual record of Senator Rick Santorum.
By the same token, it is absolutely incredible that “conservatives,” especially Christian “conservatives,” could so quickly and firmly reject the candidacy of the man who most likely is going to go down in history as the greatest congressman to ever sit in the US House of Representatives, Congressman Ron Paul of Texas. Patrick Henry was probably the greatest governor that the United States has ever seen; and Daniel Webster was probably the greatest senator that the country has ever seen; and I am personally convinced that history will regard Congressman Ron Paul as our greatest US House member. For his entire political career, Congressman Paul has stood like a rock for the fundamental principles of liberty and constitutionalism, and, yet, many “conservatives” reject his Presidential candidacy. They would rather support Big-Government toadies like Rick Santorum, Newt Gingrich, or Mitt Romney. Egad!
Have people not wondered why the direction of the country has not changed one iota regardless if “conservatives” or “liberals” are running things? One would think that at some point people would wake up to the fact that until we start electing civil magistrates who take their oaths to the Constitution seriously, and who truly understand the nature of our federalist form of government, and who are truly committed to the preservation of the Bill of Rights, and who truly understand and appreciate the jurisdiction and authority of the states, nothing is going to change in this country. Nothing! And in 2012, there is only one man in the Presidential field who has an intellectual grasp and moral commitment to all of the above: Ron Paul. I will say it yet again: it will not matter to a tinker’s dam if anyone other than Ron Paul is elected President in 2012.
Furthermore, if Americans do not wake up to the importance of electing State governors, attorney generals, senators, legislators, and county sheriffs who understand that their primary responsibility as a State office holder is to safeguard the rights and liberties of the citizens of their respective states FROM THE USURPATION AND OVERREACH OF THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT, our liberties are lost–no matter how many “conservatives” we elect!
Ladies and gentlemen, face it: the left-right paradigm is a hoax! It creates false conflicts and masks true problems. It caters to the increase of socialism on the one hand and fascism and corporatism on the other hand. It saps our strengths and augments our weaknesses. It blinds our eyes to the warning clouds above us and deafens our ears to the sounds of the sirens around us. It turns friends into adversaries and adversaries into friends. It dulls our senses and sharpens our illusions. It removes true courage and gives false hope. It sullies our character and shines our betrayal, and it puts shackles around our feet and greases the skids of oppression.
Instead of worrying about whether one professes to be a “conservative” or a “liberal,” we should be concerned about whether the people we vote for understand the fundamental principles of liberty and constitutional government and have the moral character to defend such principles at all costs. Furthermore, we should be concerned that both “conservatives” and “liberals” look to government for the solutions to our problems instead of looking to the Natural Law principles of our Creator. Yes, Martha, the Golden Rule really does matter–even in Washington, D.C.
P.S. Readers should know that I have withdrawn my candidacy for Lieutenant Governor of the State of Montana. Here is my press release in this regard:
“Yesterday (Sunday, February 12), I called gubernatorial candidate, Bob Fanning, and told him that I was withdrawing my name as a candidate for Montana’s Lieutenant Governor. When Bob and I announced my candidacy for Lieutenant Governor here in Kalispell, I said, ‘We are in this race to win.’ I realized then that, in order to be competitive, there were certain criteria that had to be met. I knew our campaign had to raise a sizeable sum of money; and knew that we had to put together a quality campaign organization. Since making our announcement back in November, this campaign has accomplished neither task. Therefore, it is more than obvious to me that this campaign has no chance of being successful in the primary elections. And I have too much respect for the people of Montana than to ask them to support a candidacy that cannot at least be competitive. People who believe in a political campaign enough to invest their time and hard-earned money in it have a right to expect that the candidates they support can deliver a successful campaign.
“I believe that my departure from the Governor/Lieutenant Governor race will allow me to continue to pursue whatever opportunities the people of Montana would believe were best suited for those abilities and attributes that I may have in our mutual pursuance of liberty and constitutional government. And, no, I will not endorse a gubernatorial candidate at this time.
“I wish Bob Fanning much success in his future endeavors and am honored that he would ask me to be his Lieutenant Governor running mate.”
I want to thank readers for their support and prayers for me and my family as we continue to fight for the principles of liberty and constitutional government in our country, and especially in the great State of Montana.

Letter to the Editor

Ignorance and apathy are destroying our Nation just as swift and sure as any totalitarian ideology . Today, we are overwhelmed by both.

The average age of the world's greatest civilizations from the beginning of history, has been about 200 years. During those 200 years, these nations always progressed through the following sequence:

·       From bondage to spiritual faith;

·       From spiritual faith to great courage;

·       From courage to liberty;

·       From liberty to abundance;

·       From abundance to complacency;

·       From complacency to apathy;

·       From apathy to dependence;

·       From dependence back into bondage.

And just where do you see our country on this scale? Near the top or near the bottom? Are we closer to slavery or to liberty? Have we become a nation where the people who work for a living are outnumbered by those who vote for a living?

I believe that one of the main reasons our country is in the sad sorry state that it is in today is because of a state run education system that is committed to the "Dumbing Down" of America. We the People have kicked back in our recliners for the last 50 years with a toxic beverage in one hand and the remote in the other and accepted the propaganda we have been fed on a daily basis.

Helen Keller said; "Science may have found a cure for most evils; but it has found no remedy for the worst of them all - the apathy of human beings."

People of good will are working tirelessly to make the world a better place but we have been behind the curve for far too long. Our once proud ship of state is sinking in a cesspool of corruption. Both political parties are only shells of what they were just a few decades ago. Unless we take some action, and pretty darn quick, the lamp of Liberty will be extinguished and future generations will never experience the joy of freedom. How will you choose?

Make Me the father, O Lord

Yesterday I received a remarkable email.  A very dear friend sent me a prayer for fathers that he found online.  It was written by Thom Rainer, president and CEO of LifeWay Christian Resources.  Dr. Rainer had been impressed by a prayer written by General Douglas MacArthur, throughout which he repeated the phrase, "give me a son."  Dr. Rainer realized that he needed to become a godly father before he could ask for godly sons.  So he rewrote Gen. MacArthur's prayer, substituting "make me the father" for "give me a son."  Here is the result:

"Make me the father, O Lord, who will show my sons the strengt face  weakness; the courage to face fear; the grace to accept honest defeat; and the humility and gentleness to accept victory. Make me the father who will show his sons not a path of ease and comfort, but the ability to accept the challenges of stress and difficulty.  Use me, I pray, to be the example of one who can stand up in the storm, and there learn compassion for those who fail.

Make me the father who will teach his sons the value of a clear heart and a high goal; to look in the mirror of their own faults before they find fault in others; to learn to laugh, yet never forget how to cry; to reach into the future without ever forgetting the past.

Make me the father, O Lord, who will show my sons enough of a sense of humor, so that they will always be serious, but never take themselves too seriously.  Give them humility, so they will always remember the simplicity of   true greatness, the open mind of true wisdom, the meekness of true strength.

And after all these things are theirs, add for me, I pray, the wisdom to show them the dubious values of titles, positions, money, and material gain; and the eternal value of prayer, the Holy Bible, a Christian home, and a saving relationship with Your Son Jesus Christ.

Then I, their father, will dare to whisper, "I have not lived in vain."

Snatching Defeat From The Jaws Of Victory

A Commentary by J. D. Longstreet

Recently I wrote:

“America is at a point in world history when we need a strong leader -- a leader not afraid to assert America’s leadership. Obama is NOT that person.

I am very afraid there is no one vying for America’s leadership today any stronger as a national or world leader.

In a recent column, Thomas Sowell said: “The 2012 Republican primaries may be a rerun of the 2008 primaries, where the various conservative candidates split the conservative vote so many ways that the candidate of the mushy middle got the nomination – and then lost the election.” I think he pegged it.” (SOURCE)

I have watched intently as the GOP goes all out to lose the 2012 election to Obama and the democrats. I continue to be puzzled, or as we used to say in the south – “bumfuzzled” – by what MUST be a concerted effort to lose the next election.

Pardon me, if I show my befuddlement … because I just don’t get it.

A sense of “doom” has already set in among the legions of conservative voters in the south. Their sense that the hierarchy of the Republican Party is so completely detached from the reality on the ground (at least here in states of the old south) has been, (they feel) proved absolutely true.

There is a growing sense of “why bother” to go to the polls and vote when the election is already lost to Obama.

Look. I am no more intelligent that the average guy. And I have seen the great wave of exhilaration and expectation of victory crash against a shoreline of mediocre candidates that have proved more an embarrassment than anything else. That great wave has been diminished to a mere ripple in an isolated tide pool.

If you want to know what’s going on in your community – go to the community barbershop. I did that yesterday. Turns out, my barber has been taking a very unscientific poll on who his patrons would vote for in the GOP Primary here in North Carolina (currently scheduled for May). He has been polling since the South Carolina Primary. The results are interesting and informative.

My barber told me that, to a man, every single patron stated they would vote for Gingrich in May.

My community is heavily Democratic and heavily conservative.

I pressed to learn who those would-be primary voters thought would win the election in November. The answer, to a man, was … Obama.

For months now we have warned that if the GOP is counting on conservative voters to vote for the nominee, whomever the nominee turns out to be, then – the GOP is very wrong. Sure, there will be SOME conservative voters who would cast a vote for, well, anybody, just to vote against Obama. But I am not hearing that sentiment expressed here.

Here’s what I THINK is happening:

Southern voters have concluded that Romney cannot win. Southern voters just don’t like the man. They are satisfied that Gingrich will not win the nomination, so they feel it is safe to support and vote for Gingrich if for no other reason than Gingrich brings a little fire, fervor, passion, and a little excitement to an otherwise hum-drum campaign that is already a lost cause.

The more debates, the more infighting, the more defecation is tossed into the fan blades, the more damage will be done the eventual republican nominee. It is already bad enough, but it is sure to get worse.

So, I wonder if it is time to turn our attention to the candidates for the US Senate and House of Representatives and redouble our efforts to claim more governorships for conservatives and stop wasting our time and effort on a predetermined race for the GOP nominee for President.

I am neither an optimist nor a pessimist. I am a realist. With me the glass is neither half full nor half empty. It is simply the wrong size glass.

America Has Fallen and Can’t Get Up

David McElroy, Political Philsophy
America has fallen….and can’t get up. The wolves of Wall Street are picking her bones. Many wait, with baited breath, for the fat lady to sing. Face it folks, America is no longer the sweet land of liberty. It has become the land of the fee and home of the slave. How the mighty have fallen! How?
John Dewey is often hailed as the “Father of Modern Education” in America. He was a socialist product of the 19th Century. He engineered the transition from the one room schoolhouses to the “public fool system” we see today. He is largely responsible for the moral decay that led to America’s plunge into the depths of oppression, debauchery, and destruction. He did not teach logic or reasoning skills. Why?
“You can’t make socialists out of individualists,” Dewey stated. “Children who know how to think for themselves spoil the harmony of the collective society which is coming, where everyone is interdependent.” (1.) Dewey was a Rockefeller protégé born in 1859. He set the stage for the fall of the American people in the banker driven national socialist Union consolidation after the War Between The States.
Dewey built his legacy on conforming the individual to the society as defined by state interests, presuming man was created for government, rather than vice versa. Dewey is quoted saying “There is no God and there is no soul. Hence, there are no needs for the props of traditional religion. With dogma and creed excluded, then immutable truth is also dead and buried. There is no room for fixed, natural law or moral absolutes.” (2.) Dewey did not teach “right or wrong”, but he taught teachers Darwin and Marx!
Dewey kicked into gear the concept of tailoring indoctrination to the needs of industrialists luring people away from independent farm life into the industrial slums where they might be dispossessed and made dependent. Factory workers, waitresses and stock boys did not need much education, and critical thinking skills were not in the robber barons’ interests! Americans gave up their productive agrarian lifestyles to become consumers mobilized by Henry Ford and fueled by Rockefeller. Debt came into style with the Federal Reserve Bank in 1913, The Creature From Jekyll Island, as G. Edward Griffin called it.
Horace Greely said “It is impossible to enslave mentally or socially a Bible-reading people. The principles of the Bible are the groundwork of human freedom.” In 1963, Madalyn Murray O’Hair evicted the Bible, and God, from the public schools of America to hasten the atheist Marxist agenda. Courthouses followed.
No wonder today’s youth are confused, immature illiterates who know more about Justin Bieber, Britney Spears or Lady Gaga than George Washington, Thomas Jefferson or Jesus Christ. Just look to the National Education Association (of socialists)! As early as 1936, the NEA official position was “We stand for socializing the individual.“ (2.) We have come far from The New England Primer and the firm foundations of truth our rebellious Founding Fathers stood upon in  issuing The Declaration of Independence.
The deception of Americans is not limited to classrooms. Courtrooms have become venues of subversion, with judges’ deceitful instructions to juries and confusing legal terms with plain English to defraud the ignorant souls before the bench. Judges not only fail to mention the US Constitution has been suspended since 1932, but insist that juries must only determine if the defendant violated the letter of the law as narrowly defined by the state’s judge and prosecutor. This is part and parcel of the modern doctrine of “Legal Positivism”, the belief that the state is the supreme authority for creating, interpreting, and enforcing the law. .. declaring all legal truth is decided by the state.
This new legal paradigm was established after the Civil War when Harvard’s new president, Eliot, in 1870, named Christopher Langdell as Dean of the Harvard Law School, the flagship of American jurisprudence. He “believed that man did not need the aid of God and of the Holy Scriptures….Langdell sought to eliminate both from legal education – not by default, but by design. He along with president Eliot, had embraced the new faith that swept the academic world in the latter 1800’s – that Darwin’s theory of evolution was the key to all of life, including the law.” (5.) This was a huge leap away from Blackstone’s legal precepts that America’s patriot founders held.
The state often prevents presentation of evidence favorable to defendants, even when prosecutors know the accused are innocent! The state, and it’s laws, must never be questioned. They do not tell us, as did John Jay, 1st Chief Justice of the US Supreme Court, in 1789, that “The jury has a right to judge both the law as well as the fact in controversy.” This was upheld again in 1902 by Justice Oliver Wendell Homes and in 1941 by Chief Justice Harlan F. Stone. “The pages of history shine on instances of the jury’s exercise of its prerogative to disregard instructions of the judge…” as stated in U.S. vs. Dougherty. Recall how jurors are selected and instructed these days. Just reading a Fully Informed Jury Association pamphlet will disqualify a juror from service.
FIJA notes “The only a power the judge has over the jury is their ignorance!” The state’s interests prevail, not the rights of the people the state was to hold as being unalienable, which shall not be infringed. Be sure to check your brain at the door, empty your pockets and pass through the scanner upon entering the halls of “justice”! Fearful, ignorant, unarmed people are easier to rule, aren’t they?
There is some debate on the term unalienable, largely due to the way students are misled in the current use of dictionaries. I trust Noah Webster. Some say that term Jefferson used declaring our God-given rights means inseparable, and others say it means no lien may be laid against those rights. In reality, both apply, as the first speaks of inseparability, and the latter addresses forbidding a means of separation.
Marxists intend to separate us from our rights, and have already placed liens against us through Social Security, birth certificates and such. Government is taking out life insurance on us based on the value of taxes remitted to the International Monetary Fund…without our knowledge or consent. We are considered chattel, or slaves, while we live, per Senate Document 43 @ 73rd Congress 1st Session and Executive Order 13037. We are often more valuable dead than alive. Constant war insures industrial profits and repeated returns to the government on all those policies. The FBI, CIA, NASA, the FCC and many other agencies are technically not agencies of the United States. (3.) The IRS is an agency of the IMF, an agency of the United Nations. The IMF serves as the US Treasury! (4.) We are defrauded, and have no representation.
We are not taught to consider the whole meanings of words in the dictionary, but to parse them out, choose “either” this “or” that definition. It is the old divide and conquer strategy in education. God is holy, which implies wholeness in every compartment, or space, or “hole”, in pure reality. All real things have more than one facet by which to relate with other real things, with different shades of meaning, or variable dynamics, in each facet. Our linear thought processes, in a fashion similar to the way a prism divides the spectrum of light from a ray passing through , follow only one definitive thought or object at a time and miss the whole context of the greater spectrum unified and specified in considering all the definitions of a word in a logical progression. Tyrants prefer we not see certain facets or the dynamics of hidden relationships. They like to blindside us and focus our attention. Following the branches of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil is dividing us in the diverse chambers of artificial precepts and leading us to eat the fruits of evil. For the whole matter, feed from the root, not the fruit! Where do your children feed? The “public fool system”?
Dewey, of course, had many fellow travelers, like Roger Baldwin, founder of the American Civil Liberties Union, author and journalist Edward Bellamy, who proposed government control of all media, and Edward Louis Bernays, propaganda pioneer. Bernays was busy molding public opinion in “engineering consent”. He posed, “If we understand the mechanism and motives of the group mind, is it not possible to control and regiment the masses according to our will without their knowing about it?” His answer: “The recent practice of propaganda has proved it is possible, at least up to a certain point and within certain limits.” Where is your limit? At what point will you part ways with the socialist stampede? On the rocks below?
Of course, the deluge of international socialists upon the American society is pervasive. Even the seminaries and churches of America have departed from Holy Scripture and godly precepts. Franklin Delano Roosevelt declared “Some of my best friends are communists!“ Many think the contest is between the choice of a republic or a democracy, but it’s actually the old contest between fascism and communism. Are you single minded in seeing this in America?
Do you respect those professional scribes who teach us godless socialism, draft the course of our society, dissuade us from Law of Nature and Nature’s God? Do Pharisees lead you to worship in a politically correct fashion, serving the evangelical needs of the Zionist agenda promulgated by Rothschild and the Luciferian gang? Why do you abide billionaire bankers who rob you , deceitfully manipulate you towards a communist global gulag? Why send our sons and daughters to be sacrificed on the altar of war to seek the blessings of corporate profits? Do you really think your vote will change things in a corrupt election system? How much heinous crime is hidden behind the mask of National Security? Why do we tolerate “representatives” who mock us and admit they don’t even read the laws they propose to impose upon us while exempting themselves as they grow fat at the public expense? Do you want to be afforded no more rights than a draft horse or a milk cow? Sheepish? Are you chicken?
“Bold knaves thrive without one grain of sense,” noted John Dryden in the 17th Century, “but good men starve for want of impudence.” Are you ready to be impudent in the face of tyranny?
Rebellion birthed freedom, the Christian American Heritage of Liberty in which no man was above the law, wherein all stood as equals before the law. And while every person was entitled to be educated and ignorance of the law was no excuse, the law was to be clearly understandable by average men, and schooling was a matter of choice rather than compulsory. Law was intended to uphold our God-given rights and dignities as human beings, and preclude state tyranny. We have state tyranny recognizing no rights or dignities under the law. Just try boarding an airliner to check on this. Oh, how the mighty have fallen!
Thomas Jefferson noted “the several States comprising the United States of America, are not united on the principle of the unlimited submission to the General Government…” States created the Constitution. The federal government has totally breached and discarded the Constitution. Sovereign States, and We the People, should no longer be bound by it either, as that binding contract is nullified by the evil District of Criminals unilaterally and arrogantly refusing to abide by the terms specified. The Union is a fraud, and should be prosecuted in revolutionary zeal if we are to restore the republic. George Washington said that “Government is not reason, it is not eloquent, it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master.” Dangerous public servants insist on being fearful masters, and we need to assert our authority.
Truth be known, we must secede to succeed! That is what our patriot forefathers knew, knowing full well their very lives hung in the balance. They took the risk. Many were burned, but they sacrificed their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor to birth a legacy of freedom. Live free or die… the choice is yours.

FIRST NDAA

FIRST NDAA; NOW ENEMY EXPATRIATION ACT

By Chuck Baldwin - January 12, 2012

Another Bill To Turn American Citizens Into Enemies Of The State
On the heels of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), otherwise known as the "Indefinite Detention Act," comes another draconian bill designed to give the federal government the power to turn American citizens into enemies of the state for virtually any reason it deems necessary. Stephen D. Foster, Jr. has the story.
"Congress is considering HR 3166 and S. 1698 also known as the Enemy Expatriation Act, sponsored by Joe Lieberman (I-CT) and Charles Dent (R-PA). This bill would give the US government the power to strip Americans of their citizenship without being convicted of being 'hostile' against the United States. In other words, you can be stripped of your nationality for 'engaging in, or purposefully and materially supporting, hostilities against the United States.' Legally, the term 'hostilities' means any conflict subject to the laws of war but considering the fact that the War on Terror is a little ambiguous and encompassing, any action could be labeled as supporting terrorism."
Foster goes on to say, "I hope I'm wrong, but it sounds to me like this is a loophole for indefinitely detaining Americans. Once again, you just have to be accused of supporting hostilities which could be defined any way the government sees fit. Then the government can strip your citizenship and apply the indefinite detention section of the NDAA without the benefit of a trial."
Ever since Congress passed the Patriot Act back in 2001, it seems the floodgates have been opened for more and more intrusions and abridgements of those fundamental liberties expressly protected in the Bill of Rights. From the Patriot Act, to the Military Commissions Act, to the NDAA (Indefinite Detention Act), and to now the Enemy Expatriation Act (EEA), these big government toadies in Washington, D.C., are clearly and unmistakingly declaring war on the American people.
Have we forgotten the MIAC report out of the State of Missouri back in 2009? In that official State report, supporters of Ron Paul, Bob Barr, and Chuck Baldwin were identified as potential dangerous "militia members," and Missouri State law enforcement officials were notified to be on guard. Beyond that, anyone that identified themselves as being pro-life, pro-Second Amendment, anti-Federal Reserve, Christians who believe in the return of Christ, and even returning Iraq War veterans were likewise targeted as potentially dangerous to Missouri State law enforcement personnel.
After the MIAC report surfaced, Ron Paul, Bob Barr, and I sent a letter to the governor of Missouri demanding that the report be removed and that the State of Missouri repudiate the report. After a firestorm of outrage by thousands of Americans all over the country (not just in Missouri) the State of Missouri did indeed remove and repudiate the report.
Totalitarian regimes throughout history have attempted to marginalize those people that the state intended to target for persecution. Once a group or groups of people had been sufficiently marginalized, it wasn't long before public condemnation and then military retaliation took place. Legislation such as the Patriot Act, the Military Commissions Act, the NDAA, and now the EEA authorize military power to be used against US citizens, and given the propensity of government propagandists in the National Press Corps to marginalize groups of people whose ideas are thought to be politically incorrect, it's only a matter of time before the executive branch of the federal government begins utilizing the dictatorial powers that have been granted to it by Congress. And, unfortunately, many State governments seem more than willing to participate in the Machiavellian machinations put forward by Washington, D.C. The MIAC report in the State of Missouri is a prime example.
Sadder still is the way so many Christian pastors and churches have become little more than glorified cheerleaders for Statism and Militarism. While the Trojan Horse of Big Government sits unnoticed in Town Square, so-called Christians spend most of their time either trying to kill each other because of differences of opinion over secondary doctrines, or trying to turn their worship services into miniature versions of Walt Disney World.
I ask you, did you hear anything from your pastor regarding NDAA? Did you hear anything from your pastor regarding the Patriot Act or the Military Commissions Act? If not, do you really think you will hear him say anything about the EEA? Again I ask you, are not the fundamental principles of liberty as valuable and as scriptural as the so-called "family values" we hear pastors talk so much about? I would argue that without the undergirding foundational principles of liberty (codified in the Declaration of Independence and Bill of Rights), the so-called "family values" would become moot very quickly! Before Hitler's government could begin marching people off to concentration camps, it had to destroy the foundational elements of liberty in the hearts and minds of the German people--including German pastors and churches. A government that doesn't respect your liberty will not respect your life, your family, your religion, or your morality!
At this point, I invite readers to watch my address from last Sunday, January 8, 2012. In this address, I deal forthrightly with the NDAA and show the scriptural instruction regarding how unlawful and illegitimate government is the chief source of "tribulation" that the Bible talks so much about. I also give a scriptural outline as to how Christian people are to relate and respond to government--both good and bad.
While we are on the topic of liberty, someone has produced a fascinating clip of Congressman Ron Paul showing the predictions he made on the floor of the US House of Representatives back in 2002--along with the fulfillment of those predictions in subsequent news headlines. People who view this brief You Tube video might just begin to understand why Congressman Paul is the only Presidential candidate who truly understands the causes of this loss of liberty taking place in our land.
Given the way congressmen and senators from both major parties are willing to grant dictatorial powers to the President, it seems likely that the EEA will pass in much the same way as did the NDAA. It seems to me that the longer we keep expecting Washington, D.C., to solve our problems, the more our problems will increase. Remember the sagacious words of President Ronald Reagan: "Government is not the solution to our problem; government is the problem."
If we are going to "guard and defend" (Daniel Webster) our liberties, it is going to take states and local communities to do it, because those miscreants in Washington, D.C., are doing everything they can to dismantle our liberties, not protect them. We need State governors, lieutenant governors, attorney generals, and sheriffs to stand in the gap NOW! And in that vein, I invite readers to follow the Fanning-Baldwin Montana gubernatorial campaign.
In the meantime, beware! The Enemy Expatriation Act is coming soon, and with the way things are going, YOU could be deemed the enemy!
